Cooksey Earns Four dotCOMM Awards Honoring Excellence in Web Creativity and Digital Communication
Cooksey Communications recently received three Platinum Awards and one Gold Award in the 2019 dotCOMM Awards, an international competition. This awards program is unique in that it spotlights the important role of creative professionals in constantly evolving web, social media and digital platforms.
The four awards highlight Cooksey’s diverse and successful experience in using growing digital public relations, marketing and advertising tools.
- Platinum – Digital Marketing & Communications Campaign – Digital Advertising. Cooksey designed an eye-catching digital ad campaign promoting EltaMD Sun Care products as the “#1 Dermatologist-recommended Professional Sunscreen Brand.”
- Platinum – Earned Media – Article or News Placement. As part of an overall media outreach strategy, Cooksey secured an online article and photo gallery in Cowboys & Indians magazine, “Cocktail Recipes: Texican Court’s Summer Poptails.” The retro-inspired Texican Court in Irving’s Las Colinas Urban Center premiered its popular summer poptails over Memorial Day weekend.
- Platinum – Earned Media – Blog Placement. Cooksey provided insight for a blog post, “Why Corporate Social Responsibility Matters in Commercial Real Estate,” written for D CEO Magazine’s online, commercial real estate expert opinion site by Jackson-Shaw President and COO Michele Wheeler. The article addressed how corporate social responsibility should be woven thoughtfully into the fabric of every company and included three ways to engage internal teams.
- Gold – Video – Marketing (Service). Cooksey showcased its significant experience handling high-stakes communications issues and projects for cities across Texas in a video shown at the 2019 Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) Annual Conference. The video was developed in-house by Cooksey’s talented Creative team.
The dotCOMM Awards are administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (www.amcpros.com). The international organization oversees awards and recognition programs, and honors outstanding achievement and service to the profession.
There were more than 2,000 entries from throughout the United States and many other countries in the dotCOMM Awards 2019 competition. Only about 14% of entries won Platinum, the top award, and around 15% earned the Gold award. Approximately 5% were Honorable Mention winners.
