What inspires you?
People who overcome adversity inspire me. My mother’s parents were both legally blind for their entire lives, and I have always been inspired by their insistence that they be treated the same as anyone else and by their ability to successfully provide for their family despite limited job and transportation options.
What are your favorite hobbies?
Crafting – I have a custom wreath for every holiday throughout the year. Road-tripping is also at the top of the list, especially when it involves going to a small-town festival or exploring a place that is significant to Texas history.
What can’t you do without?
I can’t do without my husband – he is extremely patient and keeps me balanced.
What excites you about Cooksey’s growing practice in Central and South Texas?
Cooksey has a reputation for working with clients who are making a difference in their communities, and the positive impact of the projects we’ve been involved with in North Texas is clearly evident across the region. As a San Antonio native, I am especially excited to apply everything I’ve learned in North Texas to help our public and private sector partners in South and Central Texas have a similar impact.
