Owen gained his experience before Cooksey working as a copywriter for a Fort Worth-based public relations and advertising agency. He also held a position as the student executive director of a student development services program at Texas Christian University (TCU), where he learned a valuable skill set in executing effective organizational communication and market segmentation strategies. Owen graduated from TCU with a B.S. in strategic communications.

Since joining Cooksey in July 2021, Owen has worked with clients in the commercial real estate, transportation and water, professional services and nonprofit sectors.

What inspires you?
Kind strangers. I’ve been lucky to have been surrounded by very loving and supportive family and friends my whole life, and while they all inspire me daily, something about a person you’ve never met before showing you kindness is so genuine and inspirational.

What are your favorite hobbies?
I love competition. Sports, weightlifting, board games, spelling bees, trivia, I love them all … as long as I win.

What can’t you do without?
My twin brother. And peanut butter.

What’s the best advice anyone has given you?
Everything happens for a reason.
