Haaris Ahmed
Haaris Ahmed joined Cooksey in April 2024 after graduating from Texas Christian University with a master’s in strategic communication. Prior to Cooksey, Haaris gained experience in the public sector, where he worked as a congressional intern for Congressman Colin Allred in Washington, D.C., and with the City of Arlington’s Office of Communications.
In the earliest stages of his career, Haaris developed a passion for multi-media communications. Some of his proudest achievements include conducting constituent services during a tumultuous COVID-19 response in the U.S. House of Representatives and producing weekly social media content for the City of Arlington’s various channels.
What inspires you?
Working with experienced public communicators at Cooksey drives me to work to my highest potential. Their dedication to serving the public and bringing an innovative voice to public communications allows me to think freely and tackle new challenges with full enthusiasm.
What are your favorite hobbies?
My favorite hobbies include outdoor activities like sports and fishing, creating video content and watching movies.
What can’t you do without?
I can’t do without the interactions from friends and family. I’m a very social person so being in fun environments keeps me going!
Why are you passionate about public sector communications?
I am greatly motivated by being in an ever-changing environment where I can help others. Whether on a congressional or municipal level, there is always a chance to do some good for a large group of people.
